Visiting Groups

We love welcoming visitors to the Highlands Nature Center! However, due to the small size and limited capacity of our facility, we are not able to accommodate large groups inside the Nature Center at one time. While we are open to the public, we do not offer guided tours or structured group programming.

If you are planning to visit with a group of 10 or more, please read the instructions below and fill out the form to give us advance notice of your visit.

Planning Your Group's Visit

To help make your group’s visit as smooth and enjoyable as possible, here are a few things to keep in mind:

What counts as a group?

We consider any party of 10 or more people a visiting group.

The Nature Center cannot accommodate groups of 10+ at once.

Due to the small size/limited capacity of the NC, we can only accommodate groups of 10 or less at a time. Thus, we strongly recommend that you break up into groups of 10 or less and rotate them through the botanical gardens, nature center, and potentially Sunset Rock.

No need to book — just let us know!

While you don’t need a reservation, we do ask that all groups fill out our short form to let us know you’re coming. This helps us avoid crowding in the Nature Center and ensures the best possible experience for everyone.

Arrival & Drop-Off

Please do not use the Nature Center driveway for drop-off or pick-up.

Instead, all groups should be dropped off and picked up at the Sto Pavilion (see map).
Parking at the Nature Center is extremely limited and not suitable for group vehicles or multiple drop-offs.
