At the dedication of the Weyman Laboratory, Trustees renamed Lindenwood Lake in honor of the Ravenel family.
The name also echoed Henry William Ravenel, pioneering American botanist and mycologist.
In 2005, the lake’s name returned to Lindenwood — yet both names remain woven into its story.
