9th Conference on the Biology of Plethodontid Salamanders

The southern Blue Ridge holds the richest diversity of plethodontid salamanders anywhere on Earth — a fact that has drawn researchers to this plateau for a century. For three days in May, the Station and The Mountain Retreat & Learning Center welcome the scientists, graduate students, and field biologists whose work keeps expanding what we know about them.

Expect talks, posters, conversation that runs long past the last session, and the kind of field time you can only get when the study organism lives just outside the door.
